Hardware Test Engineer (Mechanical / Motor / Electrical Component & Module Test Engineer)
- Ha Noi
- Fulltime
Job Objective :
Perform component and module testing in mechanical, motor, and electrical/electronic fields to verify design and assess quality before finalizing the Bill of Materials (BOM), detect early performance, durability, and safety issues, and ensure components meet technical requirements and are ready for prototype production.
Main Responsibilities :
1.Develop test cases and test criteria :
Collaborate with the design team to define test plans, test cases, and pass/fail criteria for components and modules (mechanical, motor, electrical/electronic).
Ensure tests accurately reflect design verification and the testability of the design (Design for Test – DFT).
2.Perform testing:
Component-level testing characterization, validation, and screening of components.
Module-level testing: checking component integration, functionality, performance, and stability.
Use appropriate test setup, jigs, fixtures, and measuring equipment: multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply, load test.
3.Analyze test results and evaluate quality.
Process data, identify root causes (RCA), identify errors, and evaluate the quality of components and modules.
Record test results, report, and update pass/fail criteria
4. Verify the design before finalizing the BOM and prototype.
Ensure that mechanical, motor, and electrical/electronic issues are detected and addressed early.
Support the design team in optimizing the product before moving to trial production.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in component and module testing, design verification/validation, preferably in R&D or NPI.
Experience testing components and modules in mechanical, motor, or electrical/electronics engineering.
Thorough understanding of design verification, reliability and stress testing, root cause analysis (RCA), and product quality assessment.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, electrical/electronic schematics, and technical documents.
Proficient in using measurement/testing equipment: oscilloscope, multimeter, power supply, load testing, and data acquisition.
Strong analytical thinking, proactive, and effective collaboration with design teams.
