Manufacturing Process Engineer – Humanoid Robotics

VinMotion is a pioneer in robotics innovation, developing advanced humanoid robots for a wide range of applications. We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to help build high-performance, reliable, and efficient humanoid robots.

Role Overview

This role focuses on developing, standardizing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for humanoid robots across the full product lifecycle—from prototype to mass production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance and effective operation of development and manufacturing processes

  • Develop, standardize, and continuously improve processes, procedures, and guidelines

  • Manage the full product lifecycle: development → production → improvement → phase-out

  • Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and QA/QC on process changes and improvements

  • Define roles and responsibilities within cross-functional teams (CFT) using RASIC

  • Optimize cost, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency

Manufacturing Execution:

  • Manage and implement manufacturing processes at partner factories

  • Support product transfer from prototype to mass production (NPI)

  • Prepare manufacturing documentation: SOP, WI, PFMEA, Control Plan, Flow Chart

  • Support EVT/DVT/PVT builds and pilot runs

  • Track and resolve issues during trial builds and ramp-up

  • Monitor and improve key metrics: Yield, UPH, Cycle Time, Defect Rate

  • Manage BOM updates, ECN/ECO, and process changes

  • Ensure traceability and version control in production


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

  • 3-7 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering / Process Engineering / Operations

  • Experience in engineering change management (ECN/ECO)

  • Understanding of product development and R&D processes

  • Familiar with ISO standards; experience with JIRA is a plus

  • Knowledge of V-model or product development lifecycle

  • Good English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in humanoid robotics, exoskeletons, or electric vehicles

  • Knowledge of motor control systems, BMS, or motion-related hardware

  • Understanding of IEC/ISO safety standards for motorized systems

  • Certification in IATF16949, ISO, VDA, or equivalent
